Yoni Egg FAQs
What are yoni eggs?
Yoni eggs are semiprecious stones used for:
- tapping into our full power as women
- to release traumas and blockages within the system
- to make peace and connect with our yoni
The stone is inserted into the yoni (vagina) and used as a practice for energetic and physical healing to the body. This act of self-love allows healing to happen, love to flow, and energy to be released.
It is estimated that women have been practicing with stone eggs for over 5,000 years. Empresses and concubines of the Royal Palace of China used eggs carved out of jade to awaken sensuality and maintain amazing health throughout their life. Using these high-vibrational healing crystals within the body allows deep transformation, physically and energetically and assists us in connecting deeper with our yoni and womb space.

What are the benefits of using a yoni egg?
Starting a yoni egg practice has a ton of benefits for both your body and mind, like
- Increase libido and awaken your sensuality.
- Increase natural lubrication, even after menopause. Balance estrogen levels.
- Get to know your yoni closely. Start developing a loving relationship with your yoni, your entire body, and ultimately yourself.
- Tighten the vaginal walls, awakens the tissues, organs, and muscles, promotes new nerve growth, and increases overall sensitivity.
- Overcome some issues with infertility.
- Easier childbirth with less tearing of the tissue. If you have already given birth, this practice will help repair damaged nerve endings and speed your body’s recovery.
- Strengthen your pelvic floor to help with incontinence and prevent prolapse in the future.
- Gain Control over the vaginal muscles and rock your lover’s world. Increase intimacy.
- A must for serious Tantra, Qigong, and Yoga practitioners.
- Reduced PMS, menstrual cramps and the duration of your menses.
- Improve overall health and well-being.
How often should i wear a yoni egg?
Although doing kegel exercises will enhance your experience with the yoni egg, one can reap the benefits by simply wearing it! The egg is working its’ magic regardless! We would recommend starting with about 2 hours 3 times a week. It is generally fine to wear it for up to 12 hours, but as always, trust your intuition. It is a good idea to take it out after 12 hours to clean it and let your yoni rest.
However, if you find that you have trouble holding the egg in as you walk around then you should start with just sitting with the egg a few times a week for 10 or 15 minutes (or whatever amount of time you have) and focus on squeezing the egg and seeing if you can feel it. Over time your strength will increase so that you can walk around with it.
Can the yoni egg get lost or stuck inside my body?
If you are not able to push out your Yoni Egg or the string you attached has broken, not to worry! The egg can only travel so far and will not go past the cervix. The best thing to do is breathe, trust the process and use this as an opportunity to know your body and allow the crystal to do the healing work.
To help expel the egg add lubrication, like coconut oil or your lubricant of choice. Breathe deeply and relax. Squat or sit on the toilet, but be ready to catch the egg if you are not wearing the underwear the will hold it. You can help hook it with your clean finger. Be gentle, do not push hard and avoid creating any uncomfortable sensations.
Vaginal muscles tend to tense unconsciously from stress, so if you are relaxed it will help the egg to come out quickly. Keep in mind that it will not hurt you if the egg stays inside for 24 hours, some couples even safely use it during the intercourse to increase pleasure for both partners.
How do i care for my yoni egg?
Maintaining a high level of hygiene as you journey through your Yoni Egg practice is recommended. Yoni Eggs should be washed before first-time use. To clean wash with warm water and a mild cleanser. Boiling the eggs directly will only damage the qi structure of the gemstone or crystal.
To achieve optimum results first boil purified water. Pour the water in a cup and wait a few minutes for it to begin to cool. Then gently lower the egg in the hot water as it cools down. Be sure the egg is not cold as extreme temperature changes may cause the egg to crack. Add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil and soak for ten minutes.
How do i clean the drilled hole?
To clean the drilled hole, simply hold your egg under running water, positioned so the water can run through the hole. Then hold egg close to your mouth and blow air through the hole, followed by running more water. Repeat this a few times. You may also use an organic pipe cleaner to remove any extra residue. Dispense a drop or two of Tea Tree oil into the hole to sanitize, rinse again.
What if i don’t feel my yoni egg inside of me?
It is completely normal as the egg is not meant to be felt at all times. Yoni Eggs were intentionally created to help you develop awareness of the inner workings of your Yoni (vagina). By simply wearing it, your can increase sensitivity and gain more control. You will notice that engaging your PC muscles or being in certain body positions allow you feel the egg more. Opposite of vibrators that dull the senses over time and make you require more and more stimulation, Yoni Eggs help you become more sensitive. Simply give your egg a “hug” and you will notice its’ delicate presence.
Can i use the yoni egg while i am on my period?
Though it is not dangerous to your health, it is not encouraged to use the Yoni Egg during your menstrual cycle. It is better to give your uterus space to release the blood without adding any extra stimulation or weight.
If you feel comfortable using it during your menstrual cycle, then trust your intuition! Just make sure to clean your egg thoroughly before and after each use, as you are more susceptible to infection during this time of the month. Do not wear it for longer than you would a tampon to allow blood to leave the body.
Can i use the yoni egg while pregnant or with an IUD?
Please do not use Yoni Egg while pregnant. You don’t want to jostle the uterus during pregnancy, or stir up energies or tissue release that could create contractions and compromise your pregnancy. If you have already developed a strong yoni egg practice and practiced regularly for 6 months prior to conception, you may be an exception. Still in these cases we recommend only the very passive, yin yoni exercises, and to consult your midwife or health care team. Yoni egg is a wonderful practice to embark on after you gave birth and your health practitioner confirmed that it is now safe to do so.
Please do not use Yoni Egg if you have an IUD. The movement of the egg can bump against the IUD and push it out of place. The yoni egg string can also become tangled with the IUD strings. This can reduce its effectiveness as a contraceptive device, as well as even create tears in the walls of your uterus.
Yoni Wand FAQs
What are yoni wands?
A Yoni Wand is a crystal or other natural gemstone wand that is intended for sacred self pleasure, manifestation and healing from within. Our wands are glassy & smooth in texture.
Made from pure, raw crystal from Mother Earth, each wand is completely unique and holds a special vibration, which you will receive when using the crystal externally (body massaging) or internally (self pleasuring).
Yoni Wands are an amazing alternative for plastic, rubber, silicon or latex dildos, which desensitise our most intimate places. The wand is completely free of toxic BPAs and phthalates (unlike some plastic sex toys), which are known to play a factor in disrupting hormones and may play a part in cancer and infertility.
What are the benefits of using a yoni wand?
- Muscle tension release.
- More intense orgasms.
- Great for self-pleasuring or with a partner.
- Amplified emotions/sexual energy.
- Release of stagnant energy from the body.
- Awaken cervix and G-spot.
- Squirting practice.
- Chemical-free and eco-friendly.
Which shape yoni wand is right for me?
Our pointed, phallic-shaped wands are ideal for de-armouring the vagina and cervix, as it is possible to to keep hold of them – even when you are on the cervix – and to direct them to specific points and hold them there whilst your body releases. This toy is also a wonderful self-pleasure or partner-pleasure tool. The shape and energy of the wands is very “yang” – it has a clear, direct focus (de-armouring or pleasure) and is more about releasing sexual energy/unwanted emotions – which brings its own healing and builds vitality.
Our curved wands are created specially for intimate massage and self-pleasure. Curves non-phallic design is intentional, nurturing an intimate feminine relationship with your body. Sweet, delicate and smooth, Curve is the ideal toy for a sensual woman. The thinner end of the Curve is crafted for an internal massage to relieve muscle tension and emotional blockages. The thicker end of the toy is perfect for G-spot exploration. It’s sexy silhouette allows for easy handling and versatile play. CURVE is created with the intention of healing and opening up to pleasure. Used as a weekly practice, CURVE is the best tool for a toned and healthy yoni.
Can i lubricate my yoni wand?
Yes! All Yoni Wands can be used with any water-based lube or oil that is safe for internal use (i.e. coconut oil.)
Can i use my yoni wand in water?
Yes! All Yoni Wands are safe to use in water.
Gua sha FAQs
What is a gua sha tool?
A gua sha tool (pronounced like gwa sha), is a facial treatment that involves scraping a rose quartz stone over the skin in upward strokes to relax stiff muscles and promote tissue drainage. But unlike a traditional Gua Sha massage, it is done at home and it won’t leave bruise-like marks on your face as it’s done with a much lighter hand.
What are the benefits of using a gua sha tool?
The gua sha moves lymphatic fluids, stimulates our natural collagen production and breaks down tension in muscles. That means improved circulation to enhance your skins natural glow, and it even helps the skin to naturally purge blemish-causing dirt and oils. With consistent use you will also reduce puffiness in the eyes, have a more filled/plump complexion, eased facial tension, develop sharper cheekbones, and see an improvement in acne, dryness and wrinkles.
How do i use a gua sha tool?
You should start at the neck and work your way up to the forehead. This way, you’re creating a clear path for the fluids in your face to drain. You’ll notice the best results if you do it every day. Begin in the center of the face and move outwards with gentle but firm pressure. Massage from the center of face by nose outward towards cheeks. Then proceed to massage down the chin and up the forehead. You can also use your fingers to gently anchor the skin while you are scraping lightly with your opposite hand.
